Focus family: an initiative by Desjardins Insurance

We are excited to announce the deployment of Focus Family, a Desjardins initiative. Focus family is a brand new comprehensive group insurance coverage to meet the various needs of people insured with Desjardins Insurance, who are experiencing difficulties or who plan to start or expand a family.

In its desire to always strive for a more inclusive society, Desjardins Insurance is improving its health insurance offer. Now covering several fertility and perinatal services.

Enhanced support before, during and after pregnancy with Prenato

Among other things, members will benefit from exclusive support from Prenato, at a preferential rate, including screening tests, bilingual online antenatal courses, personalized virtual support, a genetic advice service and free access to an educational platform.

The addition of Focus Family to the current offer also aims to facilitate the process of starting a family by extending coverage to the most recent fertility tests and treatments. It aims to cover the costs associated with adoption, surrogacy and the many other related expenses. It offers members personalized support in a journey that can be physically and emotionally challenging.

With Focus family, it will now be possible to cover the costs associated with certain services and resources, such as:

- Fertility coaching;
- Consultations with a sex therapist;
- Prenatal courses;
- Marriage therapist/couple/family;
- Support during perinatal bereavement;
- And more.

With Focus Family, Desjardins offers comprehensive and inclusive coverage combined with caring support to promote access to the family and thus meet the needs of insured persons.

Prenato Parenting Program

Conceiving and giving birth to a child is often one of the most important steps in many people's lives. While this adventure can bring joy and happiness, it can also come with its share of worries and anxiety. To help and support future parents, Prenato is proud to implement the Parenting Assistance Program. A series of specialized resources and technological tools that are made available to Prenato customers in order to support them, from the desire for a pregnancy to the birth of the child.
