Prenato is proud to offer you a service of Pregnancy follow-up at our Montreal clinic. Couples who have difficulty obtaining an adequate prescription for our antenatal services can use this service to carry out their first follow-up (including the necessary prescriptions) or for a complete follow-up. Having access to a doctor's prescription to do your exams can sometimes be complex and make the start of pregnancy stressful. Despite this, having a pregnancy follow-up doctor is one of the first steps that allows us to offer you the services relevant to pregnancy.
How does that work?
Each request made by your general practitioner or gynecologist for pregnancy follow-up is in the form of a consultation in a specific field. For example, ultrasound exams are evaluated by obstetrician-gynecologists. They recommend, affirm or disprove your professional's request. Regardless of the result obtained, a report will be produced and sent to the prescriber who will be responsible for follow-up. In short, applying for a prescription at Prenato is also a question of legality. Our staff must respect the directives of their professional orders, either that of nurses (OIIQ) or that of ultrasound technologists (OTIMROEPMQ).
What is a prescription, or in another word, a prescription?
This is a legal exam request document signed by a health professional such as doctors, midwives, and specialized nurse practitioners. This prescription will allow you to have access to our various services. For example, at Prenato, we perform prenatal screening tests as well as other various samples and gynecological-obstetric ultrasounds. In these specific cases, our nurses and technologists can perform this medical procedure only when a doctor has requested it. In short, although we are a private clinic, any examination must, at all times, be performed under prescription and sent to your treating professional.
Do not hesitate to contact us so that we can answer your questions and make an appointment.
