The purpose of viability ultrasound is to check that the pregnancy is progressing well and to make sure that the embryo is developing well in the uterus (and not outside it, as in the case of an ectopic pregnancy).
Eligibility criteria:
- History of miscarriage
- History of an ectopic pregnancy
The ultrasound can be done from the 7thE Pregnancy week
In addition to confirming the viability and location of the pregnancy, dating ultrasound allows you to specify the gestational age and estimate the expected delivery date, based on certain measurements taken with your baby.
